How scoring really works

Before the tips, the numbers. A merge of two Dots is worth 10 points, Pips 30, Beans 60, Bubbles 100, Puffs 150, Jellies 210, Mochis 280, Clouds 360, Moons 450 and Planets 550. Each merge that follows the previous one within about 1.2 seconds raises the combo, and the merge points are multiplied by the combo, up to ×5. Two Galaxy Blobs merging gives a Galaxy Burst worth an extra 2,000 points. In short: big merges and chains are where the score is.

1. Pick a corner for your biggest blob

Choose the bottom-left or bottom-right corner and keep your largest blob there. Build the next sizes beside it in a descending row. This 'ladder' means every new merge happens right next to the blob it needs to merge with next, which is exactly what a chain needs.

2. Never bury a big blob under small ones

A small blob dropped on top of a large one blocks it from merging for a long time. If you have no good spot, drop small blobs on the opposite side of the jar where the small sizes live.

3. Read the NEXT box

The next blob is shown before you release the current one. If it matches something already sitting at the top of a pile, leave room for it now instead of covering that spot.

4. Use the walls

Blobs roll and bounce off each other, but they barely bounce off the walls. Dropping against a wall is more predictable than dropping onto the top of a round pile, especially on a phone.

5. Set up chains on purpose

Line up a Bubble next to a Puff next to a Jelly, then drop a Bubble onto the first one: the new Puff touches the Puff, which makes a Jelly that touches the Jelly. Because each step happens within the 1.2-second window, the multiplier climbs with every link. A three-link chain of large merges can outscore several minutes of careless play.

6. Keep the middle low

A tall stack in the centre is what usually crosses the dashed line. Fill the sides first and keep the middle as a landing area.

7. Don't panic at the line

A blob must sit still above the line for about 2.2 seconds to end the round, and the timer drains quickly once things settle. When the line flashes red you still have time for one merge that drops the pile.

8. Use your one revive wisely

After a game over you can revive once per round. The revive removes every blob in the upper part of the jar plus all Dots and Pips, and keeps your big blobs at the bottom. It is most valuable when you already have a Moon or Planet in place. On this site the revive is free – no ad is shown.

9. Let the daily goals stretch you

Three goals change every day and pay 50 coins each – for example 'Get a x4 combo' or 'Create a Cloud'. Chasing them makes you practise the exact skills above. Details in Daily Goals, Coins and Skins.

FAQ

What is the highest combo multiplier?

×5. Chains can go longer, but from the fifth merge on each merge is multiplied by 5.

Does a bigger skin or a paid item help my score?

No. Skins only change colours, and there are no purchases in the game.
